How do I disable word list filtering?
Posted by Andrew Weisz on 13 July 2012 05:00 PM

Summary:
How do I disable content filtering, specifically word list filtering, in PerfectMail?

Answer:

PerfectMail has two word/phrase based content lists that it uses to filter e-mail:

  • System Word List: provided and maintained by PerfectMail
  • Local Word List: maintained by the local PerfectMail administrator

You can elect to disable either list or both to fully disable content filtering and the underlying content filtering module. To disable the Content Filter lists go to the "Filters=>Filter Settings" page and select the "Content" tab. On this tab disable:

  • "Use system word list", or
  • "Use local word list"

as needed.

Disabling content filtering using the System and Local word lists does not affect Bayesian filtering, Content Profiling, Spamvertizer Analysis or Phishing Analysis. Each module would need to be disabled independently, as needed.
